What to Expect from your Hypnotherapy Sessions

Hypnosis is a very normal and natural experience. Some people describe hypnosis as a deep level of relaxation or meditation, or as an altered awareness.
During this time it becomes possible to communicate with the unconscious mind, the part responsible for creating deep and lasting change. Direct suggestion sometimes works, and more often than not, the unconscious prefers more subtle and indirect forms of suggestion. This can take the form of story, metaphor, specific hypnosis processes and skilfully formed language patterns. From this, the unconscious makes its own meaning around whatever it is that you desire to change.
A unique intuitive approach
I am a GHR registered clinical hypnotherapist. Alongside hypnosis, I also combine Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) & Eye Movement Integration (EMI) to help you make the changes you desire.
Additionally, I absolutely do not read from scripts. I work intuitively with whatever emerges. Storytelling, improvisation, creativity and playfulness are all valuable skills in any therapists toolbox. They are essential for me to help my clients to make significant changes.
We will work together flexibly, sometimes not even following what people might think is a 'standard' format for a hypnotherapy session. We could go for a walk, you can sit, stand, lie down on a yoga mat. You could fidget or stretch out your body. One size absolutely does not fit all - and I want to facilitate people to shift the habit of 'doing things the way that is expected' if this does not fit for you.
